Welcome to the third post in the Capture Your Everyday blog series! As memory keepers we know the importance of capturing the everyday and documenting life. It is easy to get caught up in the hurried flow of the digital world and lose track of what is important in our own memory keeping.
The Capture Your Everyday blog series features simple tips to help keep you on track of remembering the small things in life. Read on to read more about today’s tip…
This one I am guilty of myself. A lot of us spend so much time documenting everything in our personal worlds from our families to our pets but we tend to forget to include ourselves. The biggest place I think most of us tend to fall short on is photographs. We seem to stay behind the camera and it is time to start taking our place in front of the camera.
Our families not only love to look back in scrapbook albums and photographs to see themselves but they love to feel connected to us as well. [pullquote width=”300″ float=”left”]We need to be in more photos and make sure to document our personal story. [/pullquote] Show your family and future generations that you were there. Let them take a different look at you and who you are as a person. We all may be moms, daughters, wives, friends, etc. but we are all also individuals. We all have a story to share. A Story of You.
You can leave your own personal legacies by scrapbooking a page about yourself, making a personal journal, and being in more photographs that capture to true you. Don’t be that empty spot in your own personal story. Make sure to document more of you.
