With all the terrible events that have been occurring in Brazil, the floods and aftermath, I am honored to be a part of a group of amazing designers who have come together to support those in Brazil as they mourn, rebuild, gain hope and put their lives back together. Coming this Friday, After the Storm, is a beautiful collab that will be available @the_lilypad with all proceeds going to helping those in need in Brazil. The illustrations for this collection are a direct

The illustrations for this collection are a direct reflection of my personal garden life. From Mr. Chip eating my pumpkins to the different seeds and canning yummies. It was such a delight illustrating each one and either smiling with how much I love it to giving a grr to Mr. Chip who likes to take my pumpkins as his own.

This year I planted a small patch that hopefully will keep Mr. Chip and my other friends, the squash bugs, busy away from my main vertical patch. We shall see though who wins in the end haha.

As I watched these baby plants grow from seed in my kitchen to taking over my house as young ones I feel like the mama with her babies heading out on their own to fend for themselves in the big, bad world haha.

My weekend has been a combination of finally plant

My weekend has been a combination of finally planting some of my babies and getting the garden ready for the rest. In addition to my vegetables, I’m attempting a cut flower garden this year. So right now I’m extra about weed control. I had to make one of the cards in my Rootin’ For Ya set offer up some free weeds as I’m ready to give them all away hehe.

This card set as always includes a variety of journal and filler type cards. Perfect fit so many projects!

What’s your favorite flower? Right now I’m all about my Black Magic Cosmos as the seeds weren’t cheap and I threw everything into getting them to germinate haha. But I also love Zinnias and so many others.
