In scrapbook world, we pair modern and retro styles together in scrap kits, papers and elements all the time. We appreciate the modern clean lines but love to add character to it with some vintage/retro touches. Thirsty Script is no different. Part retro script, part modern sans serif italic-Thirsty Script gives that handmade feel.
Thirsty Script from Yellow Design Studio is described by designer Ryan Martison as a “marriage of elements from vintage signage scripts, Wisdom Script, Deftone Stylus, Lobster and even Proxima Nova”. This must have typeface, features six weights from light to black, contextual alternates, a wonderful selection of ligatures (pairings of letters) and great stylistic alternates. At $20, Thirsty Script is an fabulous, affordable font you can add to your collection. You can also get all 6 fonts (weights) for a bundle price of $89 at MyFonts.com.

Thirsty Script is new to me. I like it! (Script fonts are probably my favorite.) It looks a lot like Lobster but it’s more refined and professional looking.
Corinthia is one of my favorite script fonts – http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/typesetit/corinthia/buy.html. It’s one of those awesome scripts that connect together as you type.

I’m a student in South Africa! WHY is it $20?! :”(
Becca says
Hi Luc! Yes, it is around $20. As I am not the font creator or the one selling it I can’t say why they priced it as such. You could contact MyFonts.com or the foundry Little Yellow Bicycle and I am sure they can help you. Best of luck!
