Hi digi friends! Today I’m bringing you some inspiration on making your own Valentine cards. This is the first year I have a kid in school and Valentine’s Day is upon us! I already got the notice from the teacher saying they’ll have a party and will pass out Valentine Cards. So I started searching the internet to see what others have done besides going out and buying a box of cards. I came across SO many fun ideas! Here are four that I thought were pretty fun:
- Rainbow Loom Class Valentines via Kori Clark
- Photo Valentine via Design Mom
- Sucker Valentine via The Coterie Blog
- Glowstick Valentine via Craftiness is not Optional
I thought it would be fun to make a sucker card holder like the above picture #3. I used Snapshots and This Is My Fave (both by Tickled Pink Studio) to make them and these cards are available for you to download for free! Here is a picture of how mine came out:
Make sure to print onto cardstock and using an X-Acto Knife, cut the slits open where the black lines are. There are three lines for you to cut. If you have a cutting machine you could bring the image into your program and use the trace feature to have your cutting machine do the cutting for you! Here is a tutorial on the Sweet Shoppe Designs Page to show you how to do a Print and Cut. After you’ve done this, weave your sucker through the holes and put tape on the back to secure it.
